Deadman Mode is a high-stakes PvP game mode where every player starts on a fresh account, making the experience both thrilling and competitive.
No-Guarded zones
The entire world is considered a danger zone, meaning you can attack other players or be attacked by players within your combat bracket at almost any location.
Guarded zones
There are specific safezones scattered across the world map where PvP combat is strictly prohibited. If you're inside a safezone, you cannot be attacked by other players, and likewise, you cannot attack others.
PvP Mechanics
If you attack another player outside of a safezone, you will receive a 5-minute skull timer. While you have a skull, you're marked as an aggressor, making you a target for others. Entering a guarded safezonee while you have a skull timer will trigger an immediate response from the deadman mode guards. These guards will attack you on sight, and you must leave the zonee quickly to avoid being killed by these guards.
If you successfully kill another player, you'll receive all the items they were carrying at the time of death. In addition to the dropped items, you'll also receive a bank key. The bank key can be used at any deadman chest located in guarded zones to claim the 10 most expensive items fromthe defeated player's bank.
Safety Deposit Box
Each player has access to a safety deposit box that can store up to 10 items of your choice. Items placed in this box are completely safe and will never be lost upo death, regardless of how you die.
When you create a new account in the game, you are automatically granted 1 hour of PvP protection. During this period:
You cannot be attacked by other players
You cannot attack other players
This protection period is designed togive you time to familiarize yourself with the game without the threat of being attacked.
As you progress through the game, you'll advance through different combat brackets, every time you do so, you get an additional 30 minutes of PvP protection. This systemensures that as you face tougher opponents, you have a buffer period to adjust and prepare for PvP encounters.
If you wish to cancel your protection before the timer expires, you can do so by speaking to the Doomsayer in Lumbridge. He can remove your PvP protection, allowing you to engage in player combat immediately.
